3 Days Semuliki National Park Safari Uganda

This 3 Days Semuliki National Park Safari Uganda: takes you to Semuliki National Park. This park is generally located in western part of Uganda in Bundibugyo district. It basically covers a total area of 220 square kilometers, siting on an altitude range of 670 to 760 meters above sea level. The forest is also a home to 53 mammals of which 27 are large mammals. In fact, 11 species are endemic to the park including the pygmy antelope and two flying squirrel species. The forest is also remarkably rich in primates and some of these include; the chimpanzee, baboon, grey-cheeked mangabey, black-and-white colobus and African red colobus, etc. During this 3 Days safari, you will be able to visit the hot springs as well as do a game drive at Toro Semliki Wildlife reserve.

Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer to Semuliki National Park

After breakfast, you will be picked by one of our representatives from Great Nest Image Safaris. Thereafter, you will start on journey to the park which is approximately 7 to 8hours drive from Kampala. You will have lunch along the way and later proceed with your journey. Upon arrival, you will check in your lodge and in the evening you can decide to walk around the lodge. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 2: Game drive-Explore the Sempaya hot springs

You will have breakfast and later, drive to Toro Semliki wildlife reserve for a chance to catch up with early species that rush from their hideouts. Animals to spot include; the savannah elephants, waterbucks, buffaloes, warthogs, Uganda kobs, etc. Afterwards, you will return to the lodge for lunch and later head to the Sempaya hot springs.

These springs basically have a geyser that shoots up from the 8 meters hole, and the water is at a high temperature. They also have a temperature of more than 100 degrees Celsius with hot surrounding pools. Here, you can  also have a chance to taste boiled eggs and bananas boiled from the springs. Along the trail where the hot springs are located, you will be in line to see a number of birds and some primates. Later, you will proceed to Mungilo waterfalls where you will have an opportunity of seeing a number of beautiful bird species. Later you will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Depart to Kampala/Entebbe

After breakfast, you will start on your journey back to Kampala/Entebbe with a stopover in Fort portal for lunch. You will later proceed with your journey back home.
